Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. This site does not retain those search terms on its own systems. A message sent by email or through a contact method may be kept long enough to answer it. Message information is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Data

Normal web systems may record basic data when a page loads:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent
  • Referring page, when supplied
  • Date and time of a request

Cookies may help measure use and remember basic choices. Browser controls can reject cookies, though some functions may then work differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data supports a limited set of operating needs:

  • Keeping pages available and responsive
  • Sending a search to the selected partner
  • Learning which content helps visitors
  • Finding errors and security problems
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect general interests

Outside Websites and Advertising

Links may lead to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, Idaho courts, corrections pages, custody tools, federal locators, or private search services. Each destination applies its own privacy terms after a visitor leaves this site. Advertising providers may also measure activity across websites using systems they control.

Limited Data Sharing

Personal information is not sold. It may be received by:

  • A search partner that processes a submitted query
  • Analytics providers that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Security Is Best Effort

Reasonable safeguards are used for information under this site’s control. No internet system, storage service, or transmission method can be promised to be completely secure.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian may use the Contacts page to request deletion if a minor supplied information.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law, a person may ask to review data held about them, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, or object to certain processing. A request should describe the data and the right being exercised. Idaho public-record law governs records held by public agencies, not the limited site-use data described here.

Changes to This Notice

This notice may be revised as services or practices change. A revised version takes effect when posted with its new effective date. Effective September 8, 2026.
